Solitary Islands Marine Park, the first marine park established in NSW, stretches over 75 Km from Muttonbird Island in the south to the Sandon River and Plover Island in the north. The marine park protects a wide range of coastal and marine landscapes and habitats including shorelines, headlands, rock platforms, reefs and islands - as well as the ocean and seabeds around them. It covers an area of around 71 000 hectares.
